Having just moved to San Jose, actually Campbell just east of Los Gatos, I found myself having to find a suitable Porsche and Mercedes repair shop in the area. Some how the day after our move, the check engine light came on in my c32 Mercedes only one week before it was due for a smog check. The next day the traction control light came on in my 2001 Porsche 996. What bad luck I say. How does one go about finding a suitable trustworthy Porsche and Mercedes technician in a new town, especially San Jose. My first three experiences were terrible, I won’t even mention the names of the shops but it is enough to say, that they were obviously more interested in making money than repairing my car.
Some how I got lucky I guess and was told about a Porsche repair shop in Campbell so I thought I would try them out. There I met two service techs who were Porsche service experts. Ryan immediately offered to run a complete diagnostic test using his Porsche code scanning computer and found the problem in seconds. Needless to say I take all of my cars there for repair and service. They offer with out a doubt, the best Porsche service in San Jose bay area.

My Son and I picked up a 1974 Porsche 914 as a fun little project car. In short, it turned out to be a bit more of a project than we had originally thought. The engine was out but the rest of the car was inside a 1972 VW bus. My son lives Campbell between San Jose and Los Gatos but I live about 60 miles away. We were able to get a lot of the heavy lifting done ourselves on the project over a course of about 5 weekends, but neither of us knew much about wiring or fine tuning. We got the car to run, but we seriously needed a Porsche service Shop to get the car charging and running proper. My son recommended CT Automotive and the specialists there were able to get our project to the final stage in less than a week and at a very reasonable price. Now we plan to hit the road together in our vintage sports cars.
The experience was stellar.

Fourteen years ago my six-year-old son presented me with my dream car, a Porsche 911 turbo, for fathers day. Having recently purchased a 1987 Porsche, I wanted to find an experienced shop that would be honest with me. I called up CT Automotive and mentioned my concerns. They asked if I wanted to bring it by so they could look at it. I brought it by and they put it on the rack and looked at it with me standing there. They spent approximately 45 minutes with me going over the car. I was very impressed. I brought it back the next day for an oil change. They wrote up some information on things that are needed now and things I should look at in the future. CT has been around since 1987 and has always been under the same ownership with many of its employees being career Porsche mechanics. If you are looking for a shop that knows Porches and will definitely fix your problems this is it.
